The Center for Innovative Medicine (CIMED) supports high-quality clinical research at Campus Flemingsberg. The allocation of their project grants for 2025-2027 was finalized this summer.
The recipients of these funds at NVS for 2025-2027 are:
- Hong Xu, Assistant Professor at the Division of Clinical Geriatrics - "Kolinesterashämmare, en potentiell läkemedelskandidat för behandling av njursjukdomar med hjälp av epidemiologiska och kliniska metoder"
- Katharina Schmidt-Mende, affiliated with the Division of Family Medicine and Primary Care - "Prevention of emergency visits among frail older patients in primary care development of a complex intervention in Swedish healthcare"
- Charlotte Goodrose-Flores, Postdoc at the Division of Clinical Geriatrics - "Studies on nutrition, perceived body image, and muscle strength in patients with advanced cancer"
- Carolin Nymark, Docent at the Division of Nursing - "Vätskeintag hos patienter med hjärtsvikt."
- Maria Eriksdotter, Professor at the Division of Clinical Geriatrics- "Neurotrophin-mediated immune regulation in Alzheimer patients."
- David Moulaee Conradsson, Senior Lecturer and Docent at the Division of Physiotherapy - "One size" fits no one - evaluation of a person-centered adaptive mobile health solution for physical activity after stroke or transient ischemic attack."
The grant amounts for project funds range from 0.3 to 1.0 MSEK per year
CIMED (Center for Innovative Medicine) supports high-quality clinical and translational research at Campus Flemingsberg. CIMED's mission is to strengthen the clinical research node at Campus Flemingsberg and stimulate collaboration between researchers at Karolinska University Hospital and Karolinska Institutet.
The proximity between research and patient care is crucial for the effective transfer of new research findings to clinical practice. By funding research projects with a clear exchange between clinical and experimental researchers at Campus Flemingsberg, CIMED aims to contribute to faster patient benefits from new research results.
