Emergency services are in attendance at a serious crash on Waimate Highway.
The crash, involving a car and motorcycle, happened north of Waitaki Bridge around 11.50am.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
Waitaki Bridge is closed and diversions are in place.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and avoid the area If possible.
The Serious Crash Unit is attending.
