Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on State Highway 30, near Braemar Rd, Rotoma.
Police were alerted to the two vehicle crash at around 2:15pm.
Initial reports state a number of people have a range of injuries.
The road has been closed and diversions are in place.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
