Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on Waiapu Rd, Tokomaru Bay.
Police were alerted to the single vehicle crash between Puketiti Rd and Te Wehi Rd at around 2.20pm.
A rescue helicopter is at the scene.
Initial indications state two people are seriously injured.
The road is closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
