NZ police charge two people over Bexley Park assault

As stated by Detective Inspector Nicola Reeves:

Two people have been charged in relation to the serious assault of a man in Bexley Park on Monday morning.

Earlier today, Police began making enquiries at two Corhampton Street properties, and as part of those enquiries have been speaking with two people.

One of those, an 18-year-old man, has now been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear in Christchurch District Court tomorrow.

The other, a 23-year-old woman, has been charged as an accessory after the fact. She will appear in court at a later date.

Police would like to thank those members of the public who have come forward to share valuable information.

As the matter is now before the courts, Police will not comment further.
