Police can now release the name of the person who died in a crash on Rangiora Leithfield Road on 31 December.
He was 15-year-old Kaide Hancox Bailey, of Rangiora.
Police's thoughts are with the families and friends of those involved.
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
