NZ police investigating after death of baby

As stated by Detective Inspector Warrick Adkin, Counties Manukau CIB:

Police are investigating the death of a baby earlier this week.

A baby with critical injuries was taken to the Watford Medical Centre in Otara on Monday 23 May.

CPR was commenced, however the baby was sadly pronounced dead.

A homicide investigation is now underway in relation to the circumstances of the baby's death.

Police are continuing to speak with residents of an Shifnal Drive, Randwick Park.

Police's thoughts are with the baby's whānau.

The family have requested privacy at this difficult time.
