Police can confirm the name of the woman located deceased on the shore in Bay View on Tuesday, 14 February 2023 following Cyclone Gabrielle.
She was 55-year-old Susane Caccioppoli of Taradale.
Police's thoughts and condolences are with her whānau and friends.
Her death will be referred to the Coroner.
