Police can now confirm the name of the boy who died following a crash on Lehmans Road, Fernside, Waimakariri on Tuesday.
He was six-year-old Lachlan Gebhardt.
Our condolences are with his family, friends and school at this time.
A second person, who received serious injuries was flown to Middlemore Hospital where they remain in a serious condition.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
