Police can now name the person who died following a crash on Kakaramea Road near Pirongia on 27 May.
He was Paul Kelvin Tristram, 62, from Banksia Grove, Western Australia.
Police extend their sympathies to his family and friends.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
