Waikato Police are appealing to the public for information following the death of a person on Owairaka Valley Rd in the Waipa District overnight.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who travelled the road between 10pm and 2.30am last night or has dash camera footage.
Police are also interested in any information about someone walking or running along this stretch of road between those hours.
Emergency services were called to the vehicle-related incident near the intersection of Mellsop Road around 2.30am.
Sadly one person was located deceased at the scene, however the circumstances are unclear at this stage.
