OAS Council to Review Anti-Poverty Manifesto in Americas

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold a regular meeting on Thursday, August 22, at 10:00 EDT (14:00 GMT) in the Simon Bolivar room at OAS headquarters in Washington, D.C., to consider the "Manifesto against Poverty in the Americas" and to commemorate World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition, and International Day for People of African Descent, among other topics.
