Off Duty Officer Charged With Low Range Drink Driving

An off-duty police officers has been charged with low range drink driving after being stopped for a random breath test in Sydney's inner west.

About 11.45pm yesterday (Friday 29 November 2024), officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command stopped a four wheel drive on Liverpool Road, Summer Hill.

The driver, a 31-year-old woman, was arrested after returning a positive reading.

She was taken to Burwood Police Station where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.065.

The off-duty senior constable, attached to a specialist command, was issued a traffic infringement notice for drive with low-range PCA – first offence.

Her employment status is under review.
