An officer has been charged following an investigation by the Professional Standards Command.
In March last year, the Professional Standards Command commenced an investigation into an officer attached to a command in the Northern Region.
Following inquiries, the 34-year-old senior constable was today (Wednesday 25 January 2023), issued a Court Attendance Notice for holder of public office misconduct, publish false misleading material to obtain property, knowingly possess identity plate not on correct vehicle and tamper with evidence with intent to mislead judicial tribunal.
The man is due to appear before Taree Local Court on Wednesday 8 March 2023.
His employment status is under review.
