Officer Charged - South West Metropolitan Region 24 April

A police officer has been charged after allegedly providing misleading information in Sydney's south west.

In September 2024, officers attached to the Professional Standards Command established Strike Force Potsdam to investigate reports of alleged false complaints made by a police officer.

On Friday 29 November 2024, a search warrant was conducted at the officers home, where police seized a number of electronic devices which were forensically examined.

Following further investigations, today (Thursday 24 April 2025), police issued a 25-year-old woman, who is a serving NSW police officer attached to the South West Metropolitan Region, a Court Attendance Notice charged with knowingly provide false/misleading information regarding police conduct.

She is due to appear before Picton Local Court on Thursday 19 June 2025.

The officer's employment status is currently under review.
