A police officer has been charged following an investigation into an alleged fraud.
In early July 2021, officers attached to the Professional Standards Command commenced an investigation arising from a fraud incident reported to police.
Following inquiries, the 29-year-old male senior constable, who is attached to a command in the South West Metropolitan Region, was issued a Court Attendance Notice for 13 offences earlier today (Tuesday 24 August 2021)
The charges include two counts of deal with identity info to commit indictable offence and 11 counts of publish false misleading material to obtain property.
He has been granted conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 15 September 2021.
The officer's duty status is currently under review.
