An off duty police officer has been charged with mid-range PCA following a random breath test stop in Nowra this morning.
About 4.40am (Wednesday 1 January 2025), officers attached to Nowra Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were conducting random breath testing on Kalandar Street.
Police stopped and subjected a driver to a random breath test, which produced a positive result.
The 48-year-old man – who is a senior constable attached to the Southern Region – was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station, where he underwent a secondary breath analysis which returned an alleged reading of 0.120.
The man was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for mid-range PCA.
He will appear at Milton Local Court on Thursday 23 January 2025.
