A police officer has been charged with alleged domestic violence-related offences.
In April 2024, officers attached to a Western Region Command commenced an investigation following reports of alleged domestic violence incidents.
Following enquiries, on Friday 11 October 2024, a 57-year-old senior constable – who is attached to a specialist command based in the western region – was served a future court attendance notice and charged with seven counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic) and common assault (DV).
He is due to appear before Tamworth Local Court on Monday 25 November 2024.
The officer's employment status is under review.
