Officer Charged - Specialist Command 2 May

A police officer has been charged following an investigation into alleged domestic violence related offences.

Officers attached to South West Metropolitan Command launched an investigation after receiving a report of multiple alleged domestic violence incidents in November 2023.

Following extensive investigations, police issued a 28-year-old Senior Constable with a Court Attendance Notice yesterday (Wednesday 1 May 2024).

The man was charged with 14 counts of access or modify restricted data held in computer and he will appear before Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 12 June 2024.

Following further investigations, the same man was arrested at Narellan Police Station today (Thursday 2 May 2024).

He was charged with five counts of common assault DV, three counts of stalk or intimidate intend fear physical harm DV, two counts of use carriage service to menace or harass or offend and assault occasioning actual bodily harm DV.

The 28-year-old was granted strict conditional bail to appear before Picton Local Court on Thursday 16 May 2024.

The officer has been suspended with pay.
