Officers Investigate Road Rage On Monash Freeway

Prahran police are appealing for public assistance following a road rage and criminal damage in Glen Iris last week.

It is believed the victim was travelling inbound in their vehicle on the Monash Freeway, near Wellington Road, on 6 March about 9.30pm.

Officers have been told the victim was closely followed by two vehicles that were driving erratically.

It is believed the occupants of the two vehicles were hanging out of the windows and recording their erratic driving on their phone.

One of the vehicles, a teal Holden Commodore, was tailgating the victim before the driver pulled over in front of the victim and stopped the Commodore on the freeway.

A male passenger exited the Commodore, before approaching the victim's vehicle and yelling at the victim.

It is believed the man then threw a beer bottle at the driver's side window of the vehicle, causing the window to smash.

The victim, a 26-year-old Greenvale woman, was not injured during the incident.

The man is described as having olive skin, black hair, being about 180cm tall and was wearing a black jumper with patches on the arms, front and back.

Officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

Anyone with information, CCTV/dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit an online confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
