Strength, determination and resilience shines through for Olympian and open water swimmer, Moesha Johnson.

After missing selection for Tokyo in 2021, Moesha shares the inspiring story of her journey to Paris, from changing squads to leaving Australia to train in Germany, leading to her silver medal in the Women's 10km Marathon Swim.

Moesha spoke on the SCU Buzz podcast about the determination that drives women to achieve their dreams, ahead of her presentation at the Gold Coast Women in Business Awards Gala Reception Breakfast on Friday 4 October 2024.

"Women have this resilience that I have just seen time and time again. In the Olympics this year, we had such strong women performance in the pool and if you look at their stories and what they've gone through, the word resilience shines through," she said.

"As women, we don't give up. We keep pushing through. For me, I was determined. It's that determination and resilience in combination together."

Moesha completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Southern Cross University.
