The United States is proud to call Oman a friend. We are grateful for the leadership of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said as we continue to strengthen our strategic partnership to the benefit of the citizens of both countries.
Oman has demonstrated its leadership in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region. This year's U.S.-Oman Strategic Dialogue in Washington gave us the opportunity to chart next steps on trade and investment, clean energy, and education, science and culture initiatives. The relationship between the United States and Oman relationship is one of our oldest, dating back to 1790. We look forward to building even stronger economic, security, and people-to-people connections in the years to come.
