Detectives from the Organised Crime Gangs Group have charged a Burpengary man, an alleged member of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG), with drug offences following a vehicle search yesterday.
Maxima detectives intercepted the vehicle at Boondall around 4pm yesterday where they located amphetamine (ice), GHB and pharmaceutical drugs with a total estimated value of $22,000. A large sum of cash was also seized, along with OMCG paraphernalia.
A 26-year-old Burpengary man was charged with two counts of possession of a dangerous drug, and one count each of possession of unlawful pharmaceutical drugs, possession of utensil, possession of things used to commit drug offences, possession of tainted property (cash) and wearing a prohibited item in public. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on November 23.
A 30-year-old Lawnton man was charged with possession of a weapon (extendable baton) and is due to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on December 14.
