Four men have been arrested in connection with an incident in Paralowie in May in which shots were fired as a couple fled a property after offenders forced their way in.
Just after 10.30pm on Friday 24 May five men wearing balaclavas and masks who were armed with crowbars and a firearm allegedly forced their way into a Parkfield Loop home.
A man and a woman at the address fled to a nearby reserve where they were followed by the suspects and two shots were fired by the offenders.
The man and the woman were not struck or physically injured.
Officers from SA Police Crime Gangs Task Force have been conducting an investigation into the incident and yesterday (27 June) they arrested four men - all of whom are alleged to be members of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.
All four have been charged with aggravated counts of committing acts to endanger life and serious criminal trespass.
The men have been refused bail and are expected to appear in court today. A 32-year-old from Ingle Farm, a 26-year-old from Moonta Bay and a 28-year-old from Redwood Park are expected to appear in Adelaide while a 29-year-old from Munno Para West is expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court.
Acting Detective Chief Inspector Damian Minchenberg said the police investigation into the incident was ongoing, but today's arrest showed that police would not tolerate any form of bikie violence in the community.
Police have not recovered the firearm used in this incident.
"I would urge anyone with information about this incident to come forward and talk with us by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000," he said.
"Police can take steps to protect witnesses in these cases and are unrelenting in our focus to prevent violence of this type and protect the community."
