Four men are expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today charged with kidnapping, blackmail and assault after being arrested when several properties were raided by police early this morning, according to SA Police.
Officers from the Serious Organised Crime Branch, along with Crime Gangs Task Force and Star Operations, conducted a tactical operation in Murray Bridge, Callington and Mawson Lakes.
It will be alleged that three of the men are members of the Hells Angels and two are associates of the same Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG).
Four men – a 20-year-old from Callington, two 30-year-olds from Mawson Lakes, and a 29-year-old from Salisbury Downs – have been charged with aggravated counts of blackmail, kidnapping and assault.
Each was refused bail and is expected to appear in court today.
A fifth man, a 38-year-old man from Mawson Lakes, was arrested and charged with possessing a prohibited item.
He was granted bail and is expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a later date.
The investigation is ongoing and police expect that further charges may be forthcoming.
