One person has been arrested after detectives from the Prahran Divisional Response Unit executed warrants in South Melbourne this morning (6 June).
Operation Reckoning is an investigation into drug trafficking, supply and sale of liquor and contraventions of the Sex Work Act which has been running since April.
Warrants were executed at two premises on Clarke Street and one on Ross Street in South Melbourne.
Police have arrested a 56-year-old Camberwell man who is currently assisting with enquiries.
Police have seized a number of items including:
• A small quantity of a drug of dependence.
• Prescription medication
Police also located what is believed to be a second property allegedly operating as an illegal brothel.
Today, the Prahran Divisional Response Unit was supported by a number of other units including the Dog Squad, Sex Industry Coordination Unit and Frontline Tasking Unit.
The investigation remains ongoing.
