One-Year Anniversary Of Signing Of U.S.-Bahrain Comprehensive Security Integration And Prosperity Agreement

Department of State

The Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), signed one year ago by Secretary of State Antony Blinken and His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has elevated bilateral cooperation to new heights and delivered tangible benefits to both our countries, and to the region. This historic agreement provides a framework for enhancing collaboration across a wide range of areas from security to emerging technology, trade, and investment. Throughout the last year, the United States and Bahrain have worked on numerous security initiatives including Operation Prosperity Guardian, the coalition defending commercial shipping in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. We continue to work with our Bahraini partners to bolster trade and investment opportunities under C-SIPA, particularly related to supply chain resilience and infrastructure.

The United States and Bahrain welcome other nations committed to C-SIPA's principles to join this initiative promoting regional integration and cooperation.
