State Highway Patrol officers clocked a Ford Focus allegedly travelling 150km/h in a 100km/h zone during Operation Furlong last week.
Police observed the car allegedly speeding along the Midland Highway in Bannockburn about 9.45am on Friday, 3 November.
Officers intercepted the car and spoke to the 28-year-old driver.
The Winter Valley woman allegedly stated she was running late for work.
Her car was impounded with towing costs of $1425.
She is expected to be charged on summons with exceed speed and speed dangerous traffic offences.
