The easing of the NSW Government stay-at-home orders will see the return of many services at Council from Monday 13 September.
"It's good to be able to return to the business of serving residents after weeks of lockdown," said Cr Neville Kschenka, Mayor of Narrandera Shire. "However, it's important to note that we're only able to enjoy the return of these freedoms while the Shire continues to avoid any infection by COVID-19.
"It will only take a single case for the return of lockdown for a minimum of 14 days, so I encourage everyone to continue vaccinating and following the guidelines established in line with NSW Health advice."
Wearing of masks will remain mandatory for all indoor public venues for everyone, except children under the age of 12.
The use of QR codes when entering Council facilities will continue to be enforced, as well as social-distancing requirements and limits on the number of people who can gather in different indoor and outdoor settings.
Council Chambers, Narrandera Shire Library and the Home Care and Community Transport office will all be open to the public (subject to safety protocols).
The Waste Depots in Narrandera and Barellan will continue to be open and residents are required to use the QR codes to check-in, as well as maintain social-distancing requirements.
One exception to the resumption of Council services is the Visitor Information Centre, which will remain closed as the building is being decommissioned ahead of construction of the Discovery Hub on that site in 2022.
A temporary Visitor Information Centre will soon be open for business across the road in the Narrandera Arts Centre (the former Masonic Hall).
Sporting facilities including swimming pools will reopen, so will caravan parks and camping grounds.
No community sport will be permitted and this will continue to limit access to Council sporting facilities.
Up to five visitors will be allowed in a home (not including children 12 and under) and up to 20 people can gather in outdoor settings.
