The Opera House sails should be re-lit with the Israeli flag to prove that antisemitism can't win.
Family First lead Senate Candidate for New South Wales Lyle Shelton said it was a mistake to capitulate to the genocidal chanting mob which disgraced Australia on the steps of the Opera House in the wake of the October 7 massacre, rapes and kidnappings.
"This week's echoes of the holocaust in the emaciated faces of released Jewish hostages underscore the disgrace that night of infamy brought upon Australia.
"Re-lighting the sails in solidarity with Israel would send a powerful message that there's no place for antisemitism in Australia.
"With the Opera House sails lit, the Prime Minister and the NSW Premier should stand on the steps and hold a rally in support of the Jewish people.
"To not be able to hold such an event would simply prove that supporters of terrorism and antisemitism have prevailed in Australia.
"Since the days when Labor's Doc Evatt helped create the state of Israel, Australia has been a firm ally.
"We cannot be intimidated into not celebrating that friendship on our most iconic building in Israel's hour of need and when Australian Jews fear for their lives and property.
"If we could light the sails with the French flag when 130 people were killed by Islamic State, or in sympathy for the Muslim victims of the Christchurch massacre, surely we can light them for 1200 Jews killed in an attempt to repeat the holocaust?"
