In February, officers from Kirwan station conducted Operation Pommy-Granite targeting drug supply in Townsville.
Kirwan officers charged 11 people with 49 offences and seized approximately 8kgs of cannabis which included 40 mature plants with a street value of approximately $130,000 during the month-long operation.
A 30-year-old Condon woman was charged with possessing dangerous drugs, possessing drug utensils, possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence, possessing restricted items and unlawful possession of weapons. She is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on March 15.
A 38-year-old Heatley woman was charged with possessing dangerous drugs, possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence and failing to properly dispose of needle and syringe. She appeared in Townsville Magistrates Court on February 23.
A 42-year-old Kirwan man was charged with possessing drug utensils and possessing anything used in the commission of crime. He is due to re-appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on March 16.
A 43-year-old Kirwan man was charged with producing dangerous drugs, two counts of possessing dangerous drugs, eight counts of supplying dangerous drugs, two counts of possessing drug utensils and three counts of possessing anything used in the commission of crime. He is due to re-appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on April 17.
A 51-year-old Kirwan man was charged with possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence and failing to properly dispose of needle and syringe. He appeared in Townsville Magistrates Court on March 3.
A 38-year-old Kirwan man was charged with producing dangerous drugs, possessing anything used in the commission of crime, possessing drug utensils, possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence. He is due to re-appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on March 30.
A 55-year-old Rasmussen woman was charged with possessing dangerous drugs, possessing drug utensils and possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence. She appeared in Townsville Magistrates Court on March 3.
A 48-year-old Mt Low man was charged with possessing dangerous drugs, possessing drug utensils, possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence and buying or possessing S4 or S8 medicines or hazardous poisons. He appeared in Townsville Magistrates Court on March 6.
A 26-year-old Kirwan man was charged with possessing dangerous drugs, possessing drug utensils, possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence, supplying dangerous drugs and possessing anything used in the commission of crime. He is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on March 22.
A 29-year-old Cranbrook man was charged with possessing dangerous drugs, possessing drug utensils, possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence and contravening order about information necessary to access information stored electronically. He is due to re-appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on March 17.
Investigations are continuing.
