Operation Whiskey Legion, now in its third day, is targeting high-risk offenders across Logan District. The multi-unit deployment, including mounted police, rail squad, water police, and the dog squad, aims to disrupt criminal activities and improve community safety.
Acting Chief Superintendent Brendan Smith praised the operation's swift and targeted outcomes.
"We are already seeing significant results just days into Operation Whiskey Legion.
"This initiative is about more than arrests; it's about making our community feel safer and ensuring we are targeting high-risk offenders who cause the most harm.
The Logan community can expect to see an increased presence of specialist officers as we continue to focus on preventing crime and engaging with residents," Acting Chief Superintendent Smith said.
Operation Whiskey Legion will remain active in Logan until December 10, with ongoing efforts to disrupt criminal activity, engage with the community, and promote safety.
