NSW Opposition Leader Mark Speakman has today announced changes to the Shadow Cabinet following the retirement of the former Member for Port Macquarie, Leslie Williams.
Felicity Wilson, Member for North Shore, has been appointed Shadow Minister for Women and Shadow Minister for Aboriginal Affairs.
Tina Ayyad, Member for Holsworthy, has been appointed Shadow Assistant Minister for South Western Sydney, Shadow Assistant Minister for Health and Shadow Assistant Minister for Youth.
These appointments strengthen our team with two hardworking, community-driven leaders who bring practical experience and a clear understanding of the pressure's families are facing.
Mr Speakman said Felicity Wilson has served her community passionately since 2017 and is a strong advocate for opportunity, equity and inclusion.
"As a mum raising her kids on the North Shore, and with a professional background in public policy, she gets what matters to local families — and how to deliver.
She has been a Parliamentary Secretary and served on multiple committees with energy and conviction. She'll bring that same enthusiasm to her new roles," Mr Speakman said.
Ms Wilson said she ran for Parliament to make a difference — and that means standing up for women across our state and working with Aboriginal communities to ensure real outcomes, not just talk.
"I'll bring my values, my experience and my voice to these roles, and I'm honoured to serve," Ms Wilson said.
Mr Speakman said Tina Ayyad is a fearless voice for South Western Sydney.
"She's raised her family in the area, served as a Deputy Mayor, and fought to get real action on local issues like the mosquito plague at Warwick Farm. She's not afraid to speak up and she always puts her community first," Mr Speakman said.
Ms Ayyad said health services in NSW are under enormous strain and families are doing it tough.
"I am humbled and will continue to fight every day to ensure our suburbs get the resources and attention they deserve-and to hold the Minns Labor Government to account when they fail to deliver," Ms Ayyad said.
These changes add to a strong team focused on delivering for people in every corner of the state — not unions, not headlines, but actual outcomes.
