Invests $1 million in mobile coverage across Lower Hunter region
Optus today announced it will continue to improve mobile coverage across the Hunter region after switching on a new mobile tower in North Rothbury.
The new tower will provide improved 4G mobile coverage for residents and visitors to make and receive calls, texts and access mobile data.
Optus Territory General Manager for North West New South Wales, Chris Simon said, the site will not only improve coverage for those in North Rothbury and Branxton but also improve mobile reception for those who travel along the Hunter Expressway every day.
Optus remains committed to providing fast and reliable mobile and internet coverage across the Hunter, said Mr Simon.
Over the last 12-months Optus has invested more than $500,000 in the Lower Hunter region, after switching on the new site in North Rothbury.
This financial year, Optus also has plans to invest a further $500,000 with plans to bring dedicated mobile coverage to Ellalong.
Local Optus franchisee Craig Humble said the completion of the new mobile tower in Ellalong provides a competitive telecommunications alternative for local residents and businesses.
