Optus has today announced it has partnered with Devo Technology, the security data analytics company, to launch a unique Managed Threat Monitoring Service for enterprise and mid-market customers. The offering will provide customers with expert 24/7 managed services and insights into their organisations security posture using real-time analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and intelligent automation from Devo.

During the 2022-2023 financial year, the Australian Cyber Security Centre received a 23% increase in reports of cybercrime when compared to 2021-2022[1]. As cyberattacks continue to rise, Australian businesses need services and technology designed to keep them protected in this 24/7 threat cycle. With this new partnership, Optus Managed Threat Monitoring Services will leverage Devos real-time analytics, AI, and intelligent automation to achieve full visibility and quickly detect, investigate, and respond to threats with precision and context. Combined with Optus Network Operation Centre and Security Operation Centre, Optus is able to provide additional layers of protection to customers' cyber ecosystem that can only be done at a telecommunications network level.

Danny Price, VP Delivery, Enterprise and Business at Optus says, Optus is proud to call a number of Australias largest organisations and government agencies customers. We know how critical cybersecurity continues to be and the importance of continuing to invest in new technology particularly as the threat landscape continues to evolve. Optus partners with many of the best security vendors in the world to ensure our enterprise customers have the support they need to act quickly and identify threats.

We are excited to be partnering with Devo and their innovative technology to provide our enterprise customers with Optus Managed Threat Monitoring Service. Its an incredible platform to add to our already strong security portfolio and supports the team of experts, who work around the clock here in Australia to provide the best care to Australias business community.

The addition of the Managed Threat Monitoring Service is an example of further investment Optus is making into its security offering ecosystem for businesses. It integrates Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR), and User and Entity Behaviour Analytics (UEBA) through AI and ML to correlate and analyse logs ingested from network-connected devices and threat intelligence gathered worldwide.

The platform then creates security alert tickets in the Optus AI-enabled ITSM Nucleus platform in near real-time. These tickets can then be prioritised and triaged by Optus Security Operation Centre, which is on call 24/7. The team can then leverage automation to quickly deploy specific countermeasures.

Nicky Choo, Vice President, APAC, Devo, adds, As the global threat landscape continues to expand at an unprecedented pace, its critical that organisations have the right technology, people, and processes in place to combat cybercrime and keep their businesses safe. By partnering with Optus, a leader in Managed Security Services in Australia, our shared customers can maximize the Devo Security Data Platform and have peace of mind knowing that a team of experts is dedicated to helping them achieve their security goals.

Devos integrated platform serves as the foundation of security operations and includes data-powered SIEM, SOAR, and UEBA. AI and intelligent automation help SOC teams make the right decisions in real time.
