Optus has switched on a new mobile tower on York Road, Woottating in regional Western Australia, providing dedicated capacity and coverage to the area.
The new tower located on York Road will strengthen Optus services to the region and provide coverage to residents, businesses, and visitors in the area as well as improvements to the Great Southern Highway between Chidlow and York, and the Woottating Nature Reserve.
Optus Territory General Manager for Western Australia, Paul ONeill, is excited to be switching on another mobile tower in regional Western Australia and continuing to strengthen Optus coverage for rural residents.
Were pleased to be switching on the York Road tower and continuing to strengthen connectivity across the Northam region to allow our customers to do more of the things they love, in more places.
As we roll out our best network ever, we know that customers want faster download speeds and reliable connectivity whether they are, home or on the go. The York Road tower will also allow our customers to stay connected with family and friends.
Not only does the new tower deliver improved 4G mobile connectivity, coverage and capacity, but it also provides competition and choice for local businesses and residents by offering great value, added Mr ONeill.
The York Road tower supports surrounding coverage provided by Bakers Hill, Chidlow and Wooroloo sites. Optus continues to invest to improve coverage, reliability, and speed across its Australian mobile network, with this new tower providing a competitive telecommunications alternative for residents and businesses.
