Optus has switched on its first tower in Learmonth providing locals with Optus coverage, further enhancing Optus touch points across regional WA.
The new Optus tower will provide residents, visitors and small business owners improved coverage and capacity to take and receive calls, send texts, and connect to the web particularly through the Cape Range national Park and along Minilya-Exmouth Road.
Learmonth is home to the popular tourist area of Cape Range National Park, Turquoise Bay in Exmouth and the Learmonth RAAF Base (also known as Exmouth Airport) and is a gateway to the wider popular tourist region.
Optus Territory General Manager for Western Australia, Paul ONeill, is proud to be providing yet another Optus tower in Regional WA.
Its fantastic to be announcing yet another tower to our Optus network here in regional WA. Our mission, as we continue to expand our footprint and strengthen the digital economy, is to provide locals with the opportunity to choose a great network provider to suit their needs and offer a reliable connection to the network," he said.
The tower in Learmonth will give customers access to our fast 4G service with fantastic speeds for streaming and downloading content and allows competition and choice for local businesses and residents by offering a network at a great value, added Mr ONeill.
In the past six months, Optus has also switched on new towers in Popanying, Cuballing, Bornholm, Collie and Ambergate, highlighting the commitment to Western Australia.
This tower forms part of Optus ongoing commitment to delivering its best network ever to rural and regional parts of Australia as well as providing more competition and choice.
