Oregon Board to Discuss Strategic Plan, President's Goals

The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will meet Oct. 18 to 20 on the university's Corvallis campus to consider approving a strategic plan that will guide the university through 2030 and goals for President Jayathi Murthy for the next year.

The board will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 4:05 p.m. Oct. 20 in the Horizon Room of the Memorial Union. Board committees will meet from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Oct. 19 in the same location. The board will hold a retreat from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Hallie Ford Center.

On Oct. 20, the board will also discuss a report on advancing equity, inclusion and social justice; hear a legislative update and an update on the Elliott State Research Forest; and consider approving a 2024 board work plan.

At the end of the meeting on Oct. 20, the board will hold an executive session being held in keeping with Oregon law ORS 192.660(2)(f) to consider information or records that are exempt by law from public inspection (ORS 192.355(9)(a) attorney-client privilege under ORS 40.225).
