Sydney's iconic Italian street festival, Ferragosto, is returning to Great North Road, Five Dock on Sunday, 18 August from 10am-5pm.
The festival will begin with an Our Lady of the Assumption Procession led by the Most Rev Bishop Daniel Meagher DD VG.
Ferragosto celebrations date back centuries in Italy and we are pleased to support our local Italian community in the City of Canada Bay by beginning the festa with a traditional procession.
The procession will begin at 9:30am at the corner of Lyons Road and Great North Road, Five Dock, and continue along Great North Road before reaching the festival's Main Stage at 10am.
The procession will pause along the route for readings and hymns.
