Live music, kids entertainers, food trucks, activities and giveaways will all be part of the line-up as Council hosts the Out & About Festival next month.
Held over two huge days on 4 and 5 March, the festival will showcase the communities of Brooklyn and Altona North with Paisley Park and Brooklyn Reserve bursting with fun, food and festivities.
Mayor of Hobsons Bay Cr Peter Hemphill said there will be activities for all ages over the course of the event.
"We will have a stage set-up to showcase the talents of Voice Australia contestant and Hobsons Bay regular Tanya George, as well as much-loved children's entertainers The Mik Maks," said Cr Hemphill.
"Local food trucks will be on hand to keep appetites at bay, while little ones will love having their faces painted and bigger kids can try their hand at barefoot bowls.
"There'll also be tree giveaways and great prizes to be won, so grab a group of friends or neighbours and come and enjoy the show."
Cr Hemphill said the two-day festival would celebrate the great communities of Brooklyn and Altona North as part of Council's Better Places program.
"Better Places is all about communities telling us what they love about their suburbs and what ideas they have for their neighbourhoods in the future," said Cr Hemphill
"We've had some great comments from the communities of Brooklyn and Altona North as part of our first round of Better Places consultation and the Out & About Festival will be another great opportunity to have your say while enjoying a wonderful event with your neighbours.
"Come and tell us your thoughts and ideas for local amenity and environment, transport and safety and ways to connect our community. This is your home and we want to help make it an even Better Place."
