Outdoor fitness equipment opens in Kilmore

Hudson Park, Kilmore, now has its own outdoor fitness equipment for casual community use.

The all-ability fitness station, installed across three individual pods, offers a full body workout with a stepper, chest press, leg press and a purpose-built rubber surface.

The fitness equipment pods were opened by Member for Northern Victoria the Hon. Jaclyn Symes in Hudson Park on Friday 12 March

The project includes the installation of a large outdoor fitness pod in Hadfield Park, Wallan, that was opened in 2019.

The sites include a range of different equipment and are the product of a Mitchell Shire Youth Council initiative.

Community groups, sporting clubs, play space and reserve users can use the brand-new equipment to get fit at any time of the day.

The project was made possible through a Victorian Government grant of $142,000 through the Growing Suburbs Fund, a $25,000 contribution from the Wallan-Wandong Lions Club and a Council contribution of $29,000.
