Camaraderie, trust, sacrifice and resilience were some of the themes soldiers and officers explored in the 2024 Army Storytelling Competition - Moments of Mateship.
Three members were selected as winners of the competition, which invited personnel to share a story, photo or creative on the theme 'Moments of Mateship'.
They are Sapper Veronica Bonnar, of 2nd (Australian) Division, and Corporal Kyra Cain, of Forces Command - who both submitted posters - and Corporal Lee Philp, of 2nd (Australian) Division, for his photo.
Director Army People and Culture Colonel Chris Kitchin said the winning entries were creative, touching and spoke to the true characteristics of what it meant to be a soldier.
"Many of the entries were deeply personal and I was absolutely blown away at the calibre of the stories we received," Colonel Kitchin said.
"They have told Army's story in a way that is creative, personal and touching and I am incredibly proud to serve alongside them. They are great examples of our Good Soldiering culture."
Each of the winners received an invitation to the Chief of Army Symposium in Melbourne this month, inclusive of flights and accommodation, and a Chief of Army coin.
