Parramatta Aquatic Centre (PAC) has scooped up three awards at the 2024 Aquatic and Recreation Institute (ARI) NSW Awards of Excellence.
Finalists in seven out of 17 awards, PAC won the Facility of the Year, Lifeguard of the Year and Marketing and Communications awards.
The prestigious awards recognise and celebrate individuals and teams involved in aquatic and leisure services across the state.
City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Martin Zaiter said these wins are a testament to the people behind the scenes that make PAC an award-winning facility.
"PAC is a world-class recreational facility in the heart of our City that's seen incredible numbers in these first 12 months of operation," Cr Zaiter said.
"More than 650,000 have walked through PAC's doors since opening to enjoy the gym, facilities and programs.
"Our learn-to-swim and group fitness classes are much loved by the community, seeing more than 2,300 enrolments for swimming lessons and over 120 fitness sessions each week.
"This is all due to the dedicated staff who work so hard behind the scenes to maintain the premium quality of programs and services at our recreational hub."
PAC has become a premium destination for locals to swim, train and enjoy all year round with the recreational facility celebrating its first birthday this Saturday, 18 October.
Live entertainment and family friendly activities kick off from 12-3pm with face painting, a bubble artist and gelato cart for the community to enjoy. Entry fees apply.
