Packer Road Works To Commence 27 May

Image of Packer Road at Blaxlands RidgeHawkesbury City Council will commence works next week to upgrade Packer Road at Blaxlands Ridge between Putty Road and West Portland Road.

The works will include earth excavation, pavement stabilisation and reconstruction, stormwater drainage culvert reconstruction, safety barrier guard rail installation, retaining wall construction and spray seal.

Some trees will be required to be removed for the project to provide a safe margin along the roadside. Council will replant two trees for every tree lost with locally native species, as well as nurture these trees until they are established.

Works are due to commence in the week commencing 27 May 2024 and will take approximately nine months to complete, weather permitting.

Traffic will be permitted through the work zone, although some delays are to be expected. Traffic control measures will be in place at all times to ensure safety of traffic and pedestrians.

The project is funded by the Australian Government.
