Pair Arrested After Cranbourne Carjacking, Stabbing

Police have arrested two women after an aggravated carjacking in Cranbourne last night.

It is believed the pair first attempted to carjack a woman on Sladen Street about 9.40pm, but were unsuccessful in their attempt.

A few minutes later, it is believed the pair walked to a strip of shops on Lurline Street, where they approached a 35-year-old Clyde North man.

Officers have been told the pair stabbed the man and stole his vehicle before driving it to Pakenham.

The man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Both women were arrested by officers a short time later.

Police are currently speaking to a 33-year-old Mornington woman and a 28-year-old Carrum Downs woman in relation to the incident.
