A man and a woman have been arrested after two Melbourne CBD railway stations were evacuated due to flooding on 10 October.
The pair were interviewed by Transit Divisional Response Unit officers after a water pipe and fire sprinkler at Melbourne Central train station were damaged about 10.40pm.
The damage resulted in the automated evacuation of both Melbourne Central and Flagstaff Railway stations.
A 32-year-old St Albans woman was released pending further enquiries.
A 30-year-old Ringwood man was remanded in custody for unrelated matters and is expected to be charged with criminal damage, wilful damage, public nuisance and interfere with fire apparatus.
