Two males have been charged following an alleged affray outside a shopping centre in Rowville earlier this month.
It is alleged a boy was sitting at a bus stop along Stud Road when he was approached by two people and assaulted about 9.30pm on 15 August.
The 19-year-old Rowville boy was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives executed two search warrants in Bayswater today about 7am.
A 16-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man, both from Bayswater, were arrested.
They have both been charged with recklessly and intentionally cause injury, assault in company, assault with a weapon, affray, and possess and use controlled and prohibited weapons.
The 16-year-old was bailed to a children's court at a later date.
The 20-year-old man was remanded in custody to appear at Ringwood Magistrates' Court on 24 September.
A 19-year-old Bayswater man was also arrested on 17 August and released pending further inquiries.
