An EMERGENCY ALERT has been issued at 7.37pm Sunday 2 February 2025 by Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council.
This is ADVICE from Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council for PALM ISLAND. There has been a disruption to the power and telecommunications to Palm Island.
It is expected that telecommunications will be interrupted to the southern side of the island from approximately 8am on 3 February 2025.
Power and Telecommunications providers will be attending 3 February 2025. Expect power and some telecommunications outages for at least 24 hours.
