Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are searching for a burglar after more than 80 parcels were stolen from a post office in Mentone last week.
It is believed an unknown man broke into a post office on Florence Street using a jemmy bar about 4.30am on Tuesday, 17 December.
Once inside, the thief used a trolley to steal the parcels and fled the scene in an unknown direction of travel.
He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, approximately 175cm tall with a large build and long straight black hair.
He was last seen wearing black gloves, a black security jacket, brown shoes and a black face covering.
Detectives have released CCTV images of a man they believe will be able to assist with their enquiries.
