Toowoomba Regional Council Parks and Recreation Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Tim McMahon is encouraging residents to take advantage of various activities across the Region marking Parks Week 2025 from March 3 to 10, 2025.
"There are parks for all levels of ability and different recreation activities across our Region," Cr McMahon said.
"Parks Week is a chance for residents to discover parks which they might not typically visit to see and enjoy the special features highlighted in different areas.
"Residents can join scheduled bird and butterfly walks, walking groups, fitness sessions and more. There is an activity for all ages and abilities to enjoy.
"Whether people join a scheduled session or enjoy visiting any of our parks, the week is a chance for residents to focus on activities promoting health and wellbeing."
Parks Week is an initiative of Parks and Leisure Australia and the New Zealand Recreation Association that is designed to connect people with their neighbourhood parks and open spaces through a campaign focused on fitness and improving general health.
